Statistics show that Mobile DJs carry 75 to 80% of the responsibilities at the average wedding reception. Many couples attribute 80 to 90% of the success of their reception to their DJ. Yet only 5% (or less) of the total budget is spent on entertainment in many cases.

On the other hand, most couples spare no expense on the Reception Hall & Catering, making it the largest expense in the budget.

No price (high, low or average) is a good price if you don't get the quality entertainment and service you deserve and need. With this in mind, think about what percent of your event's budget should be devoted to hiring professional entertainment that will guarantee the success of your event.

Basic and Full-Service Entertainment Packages

Full-Service Entertainment Packages all include planning consultations with your chosen DJ/MC. We'll spend as much time with you as needed to properly plan the entertainment aspects of your event. Typically we spend many hours preparing for and coordinating each event. Your DJ will also act as the Entertainment Director, making sure that your event flows smoothly so that you can relax and have a great time. If you are having a simple party and don't need full service, please check out our “Basic DJ Package” Or if you are on a strict budget, consider having your event on a Sunday-Thursday evening or afternoon. These days are less popular and in most cases, you will get a better price. And you will be able to take advantage of our "Off Peak Special".

Location Charges

Our primary service area (for which there is no location charge) includes Wayne County. For other areas, flat-fee location charges are added based on the distance and the number of personnel (the base amount covers the DJ and sound system, the additional person amount is multiplied by the number of personnel other than the DJ):

As you look at different entertainment companies, compare them on the basis of the service they offer you. Prepare a list of questions (we suggest the ADJA's 10 questions to ask before choosing your Mobile Disc Jockey) to ask EVERY company and record their answers. Use the answers to rule out the companies you don't want to work with, and rank the remaining companies based on their answers. Call the references from the remaining companies. Use those conversations to further reduce your list. If/when you get down to a short list of a few companies that you would be EQUALLY happy to hire based on their answers and references, that is when price can be useful for further ranking.

We are a professional entertainment services with years of experience creating fun parties. We offer reliability, experience, pleasing and cooperative personalities, enthusiasm, professional equipment, an extensive music collection, and a level of personal service that makes our prices an excellent value. We offer a variety of packages for you to choose from. All of our package prices cover normal setup and breakdown time (which does NOT count towards the entertainment hours).

Miscellaneous

Retainer: 20% of the contract price is required to reserve us and lock these prices in for your event. The reservation fee is subtracted from the total balance (the remainder of which is due at the start of your event).

Road hands: If you or your venue requires us to setup or break down in less than our standard setup time, additional road hands may be required. Most banquet facilities have roll-up access. If your event requires equipment to be lifted onto a stage or loading dock, carried up stairs, across a lawn, or over a large distance (typically 500 feet or more), or if your event is in certain city locations (particularly Detroit City) then road hands are required. Our small systems (without lights) require a minimum of one road hand. Our big systems (or small system with lights) require a minimum of two road hands (the Party and Performance packages already include one, and we may be able to count the DJ as the second one). Each (additional) road hand is $100 for up to 4 hours, $30 for each additional hour.

Holiday Premium: For Thanksgiving Day, December 24-25, December 31, and January 1, Easter, Mother’s Day and Valentine's Day, a 35% surcharge will be added to all personnel prices (DJ, MC, etc.).

Extra Idle Time: All of our package prices are based on actual entertainment time. Normal equipment setup/breakdown time is built into these prices. If you or your venue requires us to be setup but not playing (for early setup, late breakdown, sharing the stage with other entertainers/speakers, cocktail hour that we're not playing music for in the same or adjacent room, etc.), the additional idle time will be billed at 50% of the additional hours rate for your selected package.

Lodging: If an overnight stay is needed due to long travel time or long event/setup/breakdown time, you will have to provide accommodations for our staff in a nearby motel. This will be discussed in advance and will be clearly indicated on your contract.

Air/Boat Travel: If we need to travel by air or boat to reach your venue, or if your event is located on a boat, you will have to pay the air/boat fares for all of our staff. There will also be charges for shipping equipment (both to and from the venue) and/or renting equipment from a supplier near your venue.
